My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This beautiful girl named Channing has struggled most of her life and it is always amazing to see that they have survived and are sweet, loving dogs. Channing was found as a stray mom with a litter of puppies. She apparently had been living on her own for most of her life. She had a beautiful set of babies and they were all adopted as soon as they were ready to go. Channing has remained behind and is now looking for her forever home. Channing is a female, Dalmatian/Labrador retriever mix. She is approx 5 years old. One of our local vet techs has taken her own as a personal project so she is making sure that all of her vetting needs are being done. She has been spayed, is up to date on her vaccines, and is testing heart worm negative. She has been heart worm treated and has completed that without issue. She is on all monthly preventatives. They recently cleaned her teeth and ran a chemistry panel on her and all of her blood work was great. She is very healthy and well cared for at her current foster home.

Channing is currently in foster care. She is for the most part good with other dogs, but reacts sometimes when the introduction is too fast. She is a little cautious about meeting other dogs, but if given the opportunity to slowly interact with them, she does fine. She is very loving and affectionate and still a very active dog. She is good with children although we have not had her with children under the age of 8 years old. She would need a fenced yard since she has spent most of her life roaming the countryside and old habits are hard to break. She is just one of those wonderful dogs who just needs a break and someone who wants to give a dog the love and the wonderful home that they deserve. She is ready to transport at any time.
