My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you are interested in adopting, please send us an e-mail requesting an Application Form. Vet and personal references will be checked and a home visit is required. Also, a minimum 5' high fenced yard is required to adopt any of our dogs and invisible fences are NOT acceptable.

Koda is a 2-year-old neutered male Siberian Husky with a "woolly" coat (longer hair). He has piercing blue eyes and a great Husky smile! We do have a little background on Koda and know that he was taken from his litter at 5 weeks old which is too early. Responsible breeders will not let their puppies go until after 8 weeks of age because of the socialization lessons that they learn from their Mother and their siblings. One of the issues that can show up is inappropriate mouthing (putting teeth on skin). Koda does this but we are working with him to teach him that this is not ok. Because of this issue he will not be adopted to a home with small children.

Koda is a high energy dog that needs exercise every day to meet his needs. You will see in the video that the fur on his tail has been chewed off (grown back now) and even some on his back legs and we think this was due to not getting enough exercise. We haven't seen him chew his tail at all since we've had him. He has lots of energy, is smart and super sweet. He fetches a ball, sits, gives 'high five,' all very cute. We want him to go to a home with an experienced dog owner, preferably experienced with Siberian Huskies. As stated, he has a "woolly" coat so keeping up with the grooming requirements for him is very important. If you think you are the right home for this darling boy, please submit an application.
