DAISY is an American Bulldog (or strong mix) puppy, 10 months old in March. She is full of beans, petite for the breed, very cute, and sweet as heck. She loves people and she loves life.
Daisy was found tied to a shelter one morning in March 2013. Shelter staff fell for her quickly, but soon found she had a congenital defect called ECTOPIC URETERS. This means the tubes that take urine from her kidneys to her bladder for storage til she voluntarily voids, aren't where they're supposed to be. They empty elsewhere (probably into the urethra), so she cannot control voiding, and urine dribbles out as it's produced.
We're actively fundraising to raise the money to be able to correct this defect. Once this surgery is completed, she should go on to lead a normal life. We are currently looking for an adoptive home for her, though she will not be ready to move to her forever home until she's healed from her surgery. We are still accepting donations toward her surgery. Donations can be made via our paypal account, by mailing a check or e-transfer to barlees@live.com.
