Harry's Story...
Hi my name is Harry. I am a 3 year 11 month old Yorkie/ Cairn Terrier mix looking for my forever home. And yes I am a cute and handsome little guy(I weigh about 5.7 lbs) at that. Paws 4 Humanity Inc rescued me from the Jax ACPS and found me a great forever home in Dec 2011. My new family loved me and took very good care of me. I really was attached to my human dad as I used to go to sleep with him at night and snuggle up to him. And then things took a turn for the worse.

You could say that my situation is a direct result of the bad economy and some bad luck as my loving family had to sadly surrender me back to Paws 4 Humanity Inc . My human mom was in a severe car accident and not fault of her own as she was just in the right place at the wrong time. She has had major medical problems both with her back and her knees from the accident and can no longer care for me or spend the time with me as she is going to many different doctors. My human dad's work hours have been severely cut and the family can no longer afford to take care of me. So they sadly gave me back to Paws 4 Humanity Inc with the hope of finding me my ultimate forever home.

I am a great little guy and am crate trained, house trained and obedience trained. I know to come to my name, sit, down and stay as well as go to your crate/bed. I am a fun little guy and enjoy playing with toys, and have a favorite rubber ball (don't let it fool you as it is twice my size) that I like to haul around. I am such a great little companion and even though my first loving family could not keep me I still deserve a great forever home. I am a well mannered, but energetic little guy - and I promise to be your companion ever!

I look forward to meeting you so that I can show you just how great a little guy that I really am and so deserving of a loving forever home! - Harry

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Harry, a Orange Park Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Cairn Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Cairn Terrier for sale in Orange Park, or seeking a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Cairn Terrier dog from a breeder in Orange Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Orange Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Orange Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Cairn Terrier breeders who help with Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Cairn Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Orange Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
