Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet George – Not long ago, my former owner took me to Spurlock Park in Houston’s East End and drove away. I was frightened but careful to stay exactly where she’d left me. I waited several days for her to come back, but she never did.
Luckily, a kind woman rescued me. She named me George after “Curious George” because I am interested in everything and everyone! I am now fully vetted, neutered and healthy, and I am anxious to go home with someone who truly loves me.
They say I am 100% Beagle. I am about one and a half years old and just under 25 pounds. I have fawn-colored, silky ears and soulful brown eyes.
I adore my human friends and love being held and scratched behind my ears. I also love going on walks, where I can sniff to my heart’s content, and I like to play with my toys. I have a favorite stuffed squirrel they let me keep in my kennel, and I snuggle with him during my naps.
I am good on a leash and in a kennel. I must have had some training because I am very obedient and know several commands such as “sit,” “drop it” and “stay.”
Thank you for reading about me. I still live in boarding but dream of going to a real home with someone who loves and cares about me. If you’d like to know more about me, please contact tauna@barriodogs.org.
