Doc's Story...
Doc is a 5 year-old Plott Hound Mix who wants nothing more than to hang out with you. He is that special kind of dog who will fit right into your home, probably the minute he gets there. Give him a bed, and this guy is going to lie down and say "Finally, I'm home!"

Doc is calm and quiet, and he has low energy, so one walk a day would be fine for him. He probably wouldn't even mind if he skipped a day or two as long as he could get outside to do his “thing”. Doc is a great BIG love bug and would do well with children of all ages.

Doc is kind of goofy and has some awesome expressions, especially when he gets the treats he really likes! He has some basic obedience skills, is totally potty trained, and has PERFECT leash manners. If you are look for a kind, gentle guy, who would fit right in, come down and meet Doc!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Doc, a Gilbert Plott Hound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Plott Hound for sale in Gilbert, or seeking a Plott Hound dog from a breeder in Gilbert.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gilbert already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gilbert breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Plott Hound breeders who help with Plott Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gilbert paves the way for another one to be saved.
