Ruger's Story...
Meet Ruger, an adorable heeler mix puppy. This little boy was rescued from the Fort Worth Animal Shelter when he had less than 24 hours left to live. His only crime was that he had caught a cold. He is now healthy and happy and looking for his furever home. He is 4 months old and weighs 17 lbs. He is house trained, crate trained, and a very sweet dog. What more could you ask for? He will make a great family dog so we are looking for a family with children to make his life complete. He is neutered, current on vaccinations, microchipped, and on flea preventative. His adoption fee is only $95 and allows us to help more animals. For more information or to arrange to meet Ruger, please contact Mike at harlyb@aol.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ruger, a Weatherford Blue Heeler puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Blue Heeler for sale in Weatherford, or seeking a Blue Heeler puppy from a breeder in Weatherford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Weatherford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Weatherford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Blue Heeler breeders who help with Blue Heeler rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Weatherford paves the way for another one to be saved.
