Jet's Story...
My name is Jet and I am one of the most handsome boys around! As you can imagine, I am full of energy since I am only 1 1/2, so I would be a great addition to an active household. But while I love to run and play, I also like down time too and will settle down whenever I am asked. I sometimes need time when I am meeting new canine friends because I can be nervous, but I warm up very quickly and they all become my new best friends! I am crate trained, but I don't need to be in there as I am totally housetrained and do not get into trouble when left out alone. I get along well with all 8 of my foster brothers and sisters, and previously lived with an 8 YO human; a Doberman, and a mini-Pinscher so I pretty much can get along with anybody and anything...except cats that is! If you would like to meet me, please email my foster Mom at melanie.lehmann@bdrr.org.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jet, a Sarasota Weimaraner dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Weimaraner for sale in Sarasota, or seeking a Weimaraner dog from a breeder in Sarasota.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sarasota already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sarasota breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Weimaraner breeders who help with Weimaraner rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sarasota paves the way for another one to be saved.
