My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gus is our resident cartoon character! While it can sometimes take Gus a moment to warm up to new faces he rarely misses a beat. Gus is a 10 year old Alaskan Husky who is outgoing, happy, active and strong. Gus would settle in well with a family and would particularly delight in having older children to dote on him and give him lots belly rubs!! Due to Gus's strong desire to work and strength he'll need an active adult owner to be in charge who will continue to let him walk/pull in a harness as he has for so many years. After "working" there is nothing Gus would enjoy more than a snooze on a plushy dog bed. Gus is great with kids and adults, we are unsure in regards to cats - this would have to be explored. For those looking to add to their "pack" we ask that Gus have the opportunity to meet your four legged companion(s) prior to adoption to ensure they are a good fit. When you adopt a dog from us you receive free lifetime training/support to learn to "mush" with your new pal (whether it be cani-cross hiking/running, scooter-joring, bike-joring or even a kick-sled). We provide in person lessons or phone/email support so you can "give your dog a job" so they can feel confident and happy in your home. Our adoption fee is $200 and covers: health certificate, microchip, updated vaccines, spay or neuter if necessary, clear stool sample, and their harness.
