Shadow's Story...
Shadow is a three year old boxer/terrier mix. She is a very sweet girl and loves to give kisses. Shadow is playful, but not overly energetic, and she does very well with kids, cats and most other dogs. Shadow loves to be with people. She'll greet anyone who comes to the door with kisses and a wagging tail, and if they stay long enough to sit down, she'll snuggle right up with them, if given the least bit of encouragement. She's hoping to find a family looking for a lap dog. If you'd like to learn more about Shadow, please e-mail her foster family at carescfoster@gmail.com .

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Shadow, a Acushnet Boxer/American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer/American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Acushnet, or seeking a Boxer/American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Acushnet.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Acushnet already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Acushnet breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer/American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Boxer/American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Acushnet paves the way for another one to be saved.
