Pickering's Story...
Pickering is not the dog for everyone, he is a poodle/bichon mix of approx 18 months, but he can be a little testy and will take some time to settle into a new home, he is somewhat of a fear biter and will need an experienced adopter and no small children, he took a couple of weeks to settle in with me, but when he finally did he is the most loving little boy, he loves attention, he hangs out with his best buddy Domino, they go on walks together he loves going on walks, when we rescued him he was limping, after x rays we discovered that he had an old fracture of his femur on one of his back legs that was plated and had some pins in and the other leg had an fho done on it, our orthopedic surgeon said he probably had been hit by a car and everything that could be done had been done and he would probably also walk a little stiffly on his one back leg but exercise would help out and it has he is doing a lot better he just gets so excited to go on nice walks.. he loves to curl up in his big doggie bed during the day with his toys, he is well house trained and at night he likes to curl up on my bed right next to my pillow, he can snap if you try to make him do something he doesn’t want to do, he is very spoiled..he does like to bark at other dogs on his walks but when you tell him no..he stops..he is just a precocious little dog that is very endearing and very loyal. for the right home he is going to be a wonderful companion.. he just needs some patience and time to adjust to a new home

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pickering, a Norwalk Bichon Frise/Poodle (Miniature) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bichon Frise/Poodle (Miniature) for sale in Norwalk, or seeking a Bichon Frise/Poodle (Miniature) dog from a breeder in Norwalk.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Norwalk already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Norwalk breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bichon Frise/Poodle (Miniature) breeders who help with Bichon Frise/Poodle (Miniature) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Norwalk paves the way for another one to be saved.
