Asha's Story...
**This is a courtesy listing for Journey Animal Rescue**

Asha is an 11 month old spayed, female pit bull terrier mix who was rescued from a kill shelter 4 hours before she was going to be destroyed. She was found as a stray wandering the streets of NYC, so her history is unknown. She is currently living in a house with other dogs and cats and gets along well with them. Asha is a very loving dog who wants to please and snuggle against you at night in bed. True to her breed, Asha is also a very athletic dog and requires a home where she will get lots of exercise in the form of daily hiking or running. Asha would make a wonderful agility dog and can absolutely not go to a home where she does not have daily exercise. While Asha has not shown any aggression to children, she is strong and energetic enough, that we will not place her in a home with small children. Asha is crate trained and appears house broken, but is not left loose in the house unattended. We would prefer that Asha be placed in a home with another dog as she will otherwise get very lonely and we want her to remain socialized. Due to her breed, the following regulations also apply: a) we will not adopt out to homes in most parts of Massachusetts due to breed specific legislation b) you must own your home c) please check with your home owner's insurance to ensure they do not ban ownership of this breed. Adoption fee is $250 .

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Asha, a Williston Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Williston, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Williston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Williston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Williston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Williston paves the way for another one to be saved.
