Here's what the humans have to say about me:
IDGSR WELCOMES SILAS INTO THE SAFETY OF THE RESCUE!!!!!!!
Silas has been with us a couple months now, he's recovering very nicely and has fur growth all over and
his energy level has increased dramatically. Silas came from a kill shelter that was putting down 99.9% of everything
there and there was little hope for him or the others till we stood up and said we will take him and you better not kill this dog.
The news media was contacted and because of that 'trouble' we were allowed to rescue the dog.
Silas was in terrible condition with little fur and he had a serious skin infection and he generally felt terrible & was underweight,
but just look at him now. This goofy kid who it appears has spent his entire life on a chain is recovering beautifully by simply giving him
routine vet care, meds, great food and love and attention.
Silas is a silly boy and his personality has just blossomed now that he feels so much better. It seems to us that Silas is likely happy for the
first time in his life. Silas is an older fella at approx. 7-8-9 yrs. old but he has so much love to give and will bring a smile to your face with his silly
antics. He will alert you if someone comes to the home but he is in no way a 'guard dog' he's just too nice.
If you have room in your heart and home for a senior boy who is good with people, older kids (8 and up), other dogs (not cat tested yet),
$300 for any dog 1 year and younger (BABY)
$250 for any dog 1-3 years (YOUNG)
$200 for any dog 3-7 years (ADULT)
$150 for dogs over 7 (SENIOR)
All our adoptable dogs are up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing & monthly preventative and have been spayed or neutered.
Everyone must submit an application before an appointment is made to meet the dogs. Dogs are introduced to prospective adopters BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.
***Not able to adopt? Consider FOSTERING one of our four-legged friends***
Donations to help us care for all the dogs in our program are also greatly appreciated and may be made from our main petfinder page: http://IDGSR.petfinder.com
