Here's what the humans have to say about me:
IDGSR WELCOMES KODIAK INTO THE SAFETY OF THE RESCUE!!!!
Kodiak's former owners thought that tying him to a tree was the way to treat a dog. Abuse in the form of roughing him up and
'manhandling' & hitting him in a harsh way was the way they 'trained' or handled Kodiak, but these ignorants thought was the way to treat a youngster who is just a young, energetic, playful and happy kid.
Kodiak is a sweetheart who loves other dogs and is living in a foster home with cats as well. He thinks that all there is to life is 'play' and he is very puppy still. At a lean 60lbs. he is not a x-large kid. He could be a GS mix or Malinois Mix with something we are not sure. He has that smaller lean body of a Malinois and his high energy and drive will make him a great running, jogging, walking, or avid hiking companion. His foster mom has been taking him to obedience classes all ready and he is being crate trained and he is doing fantastic with all his training. He know's several commands and is a star pupil completely engaged and focused on what you want him to do. This boy will do well with advanced obedience work and training and will make a family proud. He seems as he is such an athelete and agility work may be something to explore.
Kodiak is a sweet and affectionate boy considering his former owner was less than good to him at least by our standards.
If you would like to apply to make Kodiak a member of your family, please apply with this rescue.
