Jay's Story...
Jay is a beautiful boy who is so glad he has his freedom from the shelter! He was terribly neglected in his previous home and was very matted and dirty when we got him. He would probably be best in a home with folks home a lot and with another dog present. He came in
as an owner surrender with another dog, and they were clearly bonded, before the other dog got adopted. He's eager to please and affectionate. He's slightly on the shy side. Nice dog that wants to be loved and loves in return.

Jay LOVES to play fetch, so have plenty of tennis balls ready! Jay is about 5 years old. For more information, please contact savak9@sbcglobal.net.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jay, a Sacramento Cocker Spaniel dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel for sale in Sacramento, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel dog from a breeder in Sacramento.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sacramento already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sacramento breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sacramento paves the way for another one to be saved.
