Kiki's Story...
Hi, I'm Kiki. They think my mom was a Golden Retriever and my dad a flat coated retriever. I am about 4 years old, weigh 87 pounds, and I’m very healthy (just had my blood checked and everything looked great!). I am spayed, up to date on shots, microchipped, heartworm negative and on flea and heartworm prevention. I like to go on walks, but my favorite thing to do is be with and be loved on by my humans. I’m low key and would love to be the only dog or with dogs my size. I’m not a big fan of smaller dogs, but I do get along well with cats and children. Everyone who meets me talks about how sweet I am! I like consistency/routine, and I’m very docile. I’m perfectly house trained and love treats. I want to be inside most of the time, but I’m fine being outside some, too. It’s fun to watch the squirrels, and my best buddy, Bentley and I like to see what we can find in our backyard. I’m very loyal and would love to find someone who would dote on me and make me the princess I am destined to be. If you are interested in learning more about me, please email info@FORrescue.net -- I am being fostered near Huntsville, AL.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kiki, a Knoxville Golden Retriever/Flat-Coated Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever/Flat-Coated Retriever for sale in Knoxville, or seeking a Golden Retriever/Flat-Coated Retriever dog from a breeder in Knoxville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Knoxville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Knoxville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever/Flat-Coated Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever/Flat-Coated Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Knoxville paves the way for another one to be saved.
