My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Now this is an interesting mix, JRT and Beagle. Thankfully, the Beagle tones down the energy of the JRT and the JRT muscles up the Beagle physique. So now you have a lovely, smaller athlete who loves to play and sniff and get belly rubs! Bungee is a 3 year old male. He has the most gorgeous, black-lined brown eyes and deep chestnut spots carefully placed over a stark white background. He would probably do best with older children since his happy play and muscular build could be a bit much for smaller children. Unfortunately, despite Bungee’s interesting heritage, neat personality, and handsome looks, he is also heartworm positive. He will need to be treated in order to stay healthy and strong. (Not to worry, see below).
Come meet Bungee in person at the Spartanburg Humane Society, 150 Dexter Road, Spartanburg, SC 29303 (only one hour south of Charlotte, NC) or call (864) 583-4805 to inquire. This is a family friendly facility with an indoor visitation room as well as an outdoor play area. All the dogs are inside, with heat and air conditioning, and have their own private kennel. Their hours are 11AM until 6 PM Monday through Friday and 11AM until 5 PM Saturday and Sunday.
Bungee’s adoption fee is $85 which includes his neuter surgery, Rabies, Distemper/Parvo & Bordetella (Kennel Cough) vaccinations, HW testing, worming, a 24PetWatch microchip, a free follow-up wellness checkup at the shelter's clinic, as well as 1 month of free pet insurance with PetHealth Services, Inc.
Bungee is HW POSITIVE. The fee for treating Bungee’s heartworms will be added to his regular adoption fee. (Approximately $200+/-) Even if you can’t adopt Bungee, you can subsidize his HW treatment. This shelter has an “Angel Fund” setup to accept funds designated for this purpose. Contact SHS at 864-583-4805 for more information.
