Coffee's Story...
Date of Birth: January 2010
Coffee and her brother Latte were rescued when they were just kittens. They lived with their rescuer until just recently (5/13) when he had to move and could not take them with him to his new place. They really are sweet cats but have had a less than perfect life so far, as they lived most of their lives in a cage, only getting to come out a few times a day for exercise, due to the fact that they were living with dogs that thought they were "toys". They are starting to blossom in their foster home and we have high hopes that they will turn into the purrfect pair of cats, if someone will give them a chance. 6/25/13: UPDATE! Coffee has really made a turnaround and is turning into a GREAT cat so probably does not need to be adopted out with Latte! She rolls over and wants her belly rubbed!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Coffee, a Pasadena Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Pasadena, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Pasadena.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Pasadena already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Pasadena breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Pasadena paves the way for another one to be saved.
