8/2015: Divorce is a really yucky thing since it has landed me back into a foster home!!! I was extremely traumatized from this breakup and am working towards being the dog I once was. I am currently working with Darrell at The Pet Palace and getting a game plan of training in place for me. I am a tad anxious and have been learning that I am not the pack leader. My foster family has been great and their two dogs who are beagle mixes too have been helpful and willing to share their toys and beds and home with me! I am in great health and weigh just 20 lbs. I love walking on a leash and also riding in the car. I will do best in a home without small children. I hope to find that special someone who will love me for the rest of my life and continue with my training all to help me to achieve my full potential so that I can be the best companion dog ever!
11/2007: My skin infection is gone and I have gotten a clean bill of health from the vet!!! YEAH! My foster mom says that I am very playful and energetic and it’s a rarity that I’ll stop long enough to sit in your lap for more than about 2 seconds (unless recently under anesthesia!). I know my play area in the family room and I’ll stay in it (more or less!) and lie down on my rug to chew on my favorite Nylabone. I love to run after balls and squeaky toys, although I occasionally forget to bring them back after the chase! I am learning to walk on a leash and do very well some days and I like nice long walks. I really like to be near “my people” and I am definitely house broken…no accidents at all. My foster mom says that I have beagle determination, so you have to persist longer than I do when teaching me that something is off limits, but eventually I get it. Both my foster mom & dad think I am as sweet as can be and will have a hard time saying good-bye but going to the right family will make them smile!
10/2007: I was dumped in a someone's neighborhood. My foster mom found me shivering and shaking waiting to see if someone would take me inside. Luckily she did! Now, I am loving life. I am crate trained and housebroken. I love being in someone's lap or next to you in the house! I also love playing ball in the backyard but only if you are with me. I am currently being treated for demodex mange (it isn't contagious) and a skin infection. Everyone says that I have a great personality! I weigh only 15 lbs and when I am full grown should be the perfect size for anyone! I hope to meet my new family soon!

Our Adoption Process...

If you would like to adopt one of our available dogs, please contact us at to request an application. We will check vet records, conduct a phone interview, arrange a neutral site meet and greet with your family and the dog. Before permanent placement in your household, we require a home visit and a 5 day sleepover as an opportunity to see how the dog interacts with your household and to ensure we are making a good match. No adoption will be final until after receiving an approved & signed application, check of vet records, interview, neutral site meet and greet, home visit, 5-day sleepover and adoption fee.

Adopting family agrees to keep this dog as an inside only pet and companion. The dog is not to be a guard dog, fighting dog, or used for experiment or for research purposes. Adopting family guarantees that they shall provide their new family member with proper diet, veterinary care, kept current on vaccinations, on monthly heartworm preventative, and as needed, flea treatment.

The adoption fee is $180 for dogs over 25 lbs, $220 for dogs 10 - 25lbs(estimated adult weight) and $300 for toy breed dogs under 10 lbs (estimated adult weight) however, please read the individual bio of the dog you are interested in as there are some exceptions to those fees. Adoption fees include the microchip registration fee. All of our dogs are thoroughly checked out by a veterinarian. On their initial exam, they receive, as determined appropriate by the vet, a rabies shot, DA2PPL shot/s, heartworm test, and deworming. All of our animals are fully vaccinated, spayed/neutered and microchipped prior to adoption. If the dog tests positive for heartworms, they are treated. While awaiting adoption, all of our dogs are fostered in homes where they are provided monthly heartworm prevention, flea control, and any necessary medications prescribed by our vet.
