Hi my name is Gatsby! Come on in and visit me for awhile. I'm a super handsome, so my foster mom says, black Lab boy! I'm only about 1.5 yrs old and find myself in the need of a loving family who can keep me forever. I was found by a kind lady who got me all fixed up with my vaccinations and neuter but her landlord wouldn't let her keep me. I was really sad and wasn't sure what was going to happen to me and I even had to stay in a place called a shelter for a few days. But soon a lady came by to visit me and I was so scared I wouldn't even look at her at first but she got down on the floor and talked very softly to me. So I decided after a few mins she might be able to help me. By the time we left that place we were best buddies! I just had a feeling good things were going to happen for me. I'm now in a foster home and boy do I love it! 3 squares a day and toys to play with! I do love my toys! I know several commands you'll see if you watch my video and I'd love to learn more with you in doggy school. I love women and kids but am afraid of men....something happened in my past I'm not quite ready to talk about so I'd feel much better if I could just live with a lady and her kids or a lady and no kids. I have a lot of energy and I'd make a great walking, running or hiking buddy. I like the water too! But I settle down nicely in my kennel at night. I don't make a peep once the lights go out! As you can see my life has gotten off to a rocky start and I'm trying so hard to be a very good boy! I'd really like a family who can love me forever and ever....could you be the one for me?
Gatsby has been vaccinated, dewormed, and neutered. He has tested negative for heartworms and received flea and heartworm preventative. His adoption fee is $200.
