Blackie's Story...
Blackie is a tiny girl, not quite 2 pounds. She is a hand raised kitten who had the benefit of siblings. She was bottle fed with her brothers and is now in a foster home with two rowdy brothers, dogs and lots of activity. She's been cared for with great dedication by FOR's Kitten Nurse and is a very special little girl. She's the most petite of her litter and was litter pan trained at a VERY young age :). She's a great kitten and we'd love to introduce you to her. She's fostered in Harvest, AL and will be ready for adoption as soon as she has her "full service" vet appointment. To learn more about Blackie and meet her, please email info@FORrescue.net

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Blackie, a Nashville Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Nashville, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Nashville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Nashville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Nashville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Nashville paves the way for another one to be saved.
