PRINCESS's Story...
PLEASE READ THIS PROFILE AND THE REQUESTED CRITERIA BEFORE CALLING OR SUBMITTING AN APPLICATION. THANKS FOR YOUR ATTENTION AND CONSIDERATION

THIS IS PRINCESS....and she came with the name. This little 10 yr old, 18 lb, apricot and white, Lhasa X did not deserve to be dumped in the shelter this way. Her owners had her since she was a puppy, and because her eyes are now dry (all they need is drops) they didn't want her anymore....after 9 YEARS!!! They called her Princess and then they dumped her? So sad, we couldn't bare it....so we pulled her out and she is the most grateful little girl. She's a little "healthy" and could lose a few pounds but other than her eyes, she is a very healthy dog. Our vet thought she was only 7-8 yrs old. Princess is potty trained (but no guarantees at your house) and she loves attention. Rub her belly and she will follow you anywhere. She gets really excited when you come home and her favorite place to be is anywhere you want her. She is a great dog, even still plays with toys, and just needs a home to live out her golden years....these dogs live to be into their upper teens, so please don't consider her an old dog. She is mature and not nearly as much work as a younger dog or a puppy!! Is a little set in her ways and doesn't like to be startled, so young kids would not be best for Princess. Please consider her!

Our website is updated daily. Please do not apply for this dog unless your home fits the specified criteria. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, groomed, vet checked, dewormed, deflea'd and come with a leash, collar and ID tag

If you are interested in adopting a pup from Lhasa Happy Homes, please complete the Adoption Application before calling. We will contact you once it has been reviewed.

UPDATE!!!! Lhasa Happy Homes will be now holding our adoption events most every Sunday at ROVER KENNELS on Main Street in Santa Monica (check calendar link below for special events and directions). Rover is located at 2116 Main Street, in Santa Monica, CA. Here you will have an opportunity to interact with the dogs and see which might be a perfect fit with your household. Main Street is famous for its innovative shops and is close to the beach! Make a day of it!! Metered parking on the street and free parking on 4th and Bicknell Streets.

Here you will have an opportunity to interact with the dogs and see which might be a perfect fit with your household....and do some fantastic shopping at the same time! Please do call us if you are coming to see a particular dog to make sure he/she will be at adoptions (we do not bring sick dogs to our adoption events). Please bring a copy of your application and pictures of your home and yard if we have not done a home check! Most importantly, if you have a dog, make sure you bring him or her to do a compatibility match with the dog you are interested in adopting!

Don't forget to check out our Events Calendar for more information on upcoming events!

See our home page for more details about our adoptions at www.LhasaHappyHomes.org.

Thanks for thinking rescue and adoption and for considering saving a life. It will be the best gift you ever give yourself or your family.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

PRINCESS, a Los Angeles Lhasa Apso/Cockapoo dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Lhasa Apso/Cockapoo for sale in Los Angeles, or seeking a Lhasa Apso/Cockapoo dog from a breeder in Los Angeles.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Los Angeles already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Los Angeles breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Lhasa Apso/Cockapoo breeders who help with Lhasa Apso/Cockapoo rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Los Angeles paves the way for another one to be saved.
