My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Miss Freckles is about a 4 year old SUPER SWEET tempered Catahoula mix girl. She was rescued from a kill shelter just short of her Euthanasia date. She proved to be Heartworm Positive and has now successfully undergone treatment. Freckles walks on leash nicely and everywhere her foster Mom walks her people stop and visit with her and ask about her. She is an eye catching girl, very friendly to people, yet she shows the true loyalty to her foster Mom that any Catahoula would and she would protect her if need be. She is not aggressive whatsoever, just loyal and loving. Her foster Mom says she would make someone a wonderful companion dog.. she is VERY low maintenance. She has learned to leave the cats in her foster Mom’s home alone but it took a little work. She is crate trained and since her foster Mom has kitty cats, Freckles stays in a crate when no one is there. She is a very very nice girl. She might not leave them alone outside if they run. She would like a nice doggie friend companion that is moderately active. We are very glad we rescued Freckles. Freckles has been in foster care a year now, waiting for a new home. She wonders why she is being overlooked. How nice to have a low maintenance dog. She just wants to be her people's friend.
