My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Smokey is a handsome male Shepherd pup about 4 months of age. He was surrendered to JCAPL by a family who lost their home due to fire and were rendered homeless. Smokey was also in the house when it caught fire and he was safely rescued, but did suffer from some smoke inhalation. He has received some very special care in his foster home and daily nebulizer treatments to help clear his lungs. He is as good as new now and a great pup. His foster mom says he is the best dog she has ever fostered and highly recommends him as a great find! He is wonderful with the children too and a great family dog in a small package.

He is being set up for success and learning crate and house training. Cats are an unknown. He is neutered and current on his vaccines.

There is no obligation to adopt by completing an application, however, we do recommend submitting an application as soon as you find an animal you are interested in. We review applications in the order they are received.

Completed applications can be sent via email to adopt@jcapl.org, faxed to 919-300-5524, or delivered in person by visiting us at one of our adoption events on Saturdays at PetSmart in Garner (White Oak Shopping Center).
