Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Thor is a 2 year old harlequin male with natural ears who came to rescue because he has a seizure disorder. He is a laid back chill guy. He just goes with the flow. He gets along well with all dogs big and small, male or female. He avoids confrontation at all costs with his cranky foster brother, although now they do cuddle on the couch. He is not a counter surfer and is fine to be left out to roam free or he can be kenneled. He is fine with either. He isn't food or toy aggressive. Has been around tons of small children and seems to know to be gentle. Great with the cats we have but will give chase if the cat is a runner, but will stop if corrected. He is a Velcro Dane and will follow you everywhere even the bathroom. Knows sit, lay, paw and stay but can be stubborn. He is epileptic but is easy to give his medicine to (2 pills twice daily at 8am and 8pm). He hasn't(knock on wood) had a seizure since May 10th. He likes to go for rides in the car and meet new people. He is strong on lead but a gentle leader is all he needs to be well behaved. He is an EASY keeper! His energy level for a 2 year old is a little less than expected, he romps for a little bit but then loves coming inside and laying around all day.
Mid-Atlantic Great Dane Rescue League can only adopt within its incorporated area (eastern NY, eastern PA, NJ, DE, WV, MD, and VA). For more information on our adoption policies please visit our website: www.magdrl.org To adopt a Great Dane under 2 you must have traditional fencing (no electronic fences permitted).
