5/22/13: Madilyn is a wonderful Golden Retriever mix. She is sweet, affectionate and just the right amount of energy. Somehow she found herself on Death Row at BARC in Houston (a high kill shelter). Her foster couldn't let her go, so reached out to BDRA to help Madilyn.

She is now spayed, UTD on her shots and ready to find her forever home. She has, at best. limited vision in her right eye. It appears to be an old eye injury, but Madilyn doesn't let that get her down. She always has a smile for the world!

You really must meet this happy girl- you will never let her out of your life!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Madilyn, a Madison Golden Retriever/Wirehaired Fox Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever/Wirehaired Fox Terrier for sale in Madison, or seeking a Golden Retriever/Wirehaired Fox Terrier dog from a breeder in Madison.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Madison already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Madison breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever/Wirehaired Fox Terrier breeders who help with Golden Retriever/Wirehaired Fox Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Madison paves the way for another one to be saved.
