Update:
Seamus has been to a veterinary opthomologist, and he is visually impaired in both eyes from cataracts. The good news, is that he is a good candidate for the surgery, and his prognosis is very good to have his vision restored. Now, we have to really do some fundraising to make this happen. Because the cost for cataract surgery is around $3000. We are starting a "Sight for Seamus Fund". Seamus is a beuatiful 1-2 yr old red male cocker spaniel.
He came to our rescue from the lucas county animal shelter where he was found as a stray so we do not have any history on him.
Seamus is a very sweet cocker boy, he loves attention, gets along great with other dogs, and is housetrained.
He does have what appears to be bi lateral cataracts, and has some vision loss.
We are having a consult with an opthomologist for him, to see if his vision can be surgically restored.
We will update on this once we have the consult the first week of june
Some cataracts are genetic, and there is nothing that can be done to correct vision, so we are hoping he is a candidate.
You would never know that he had a visual impairment by the way he gets around, he actually does quite well, and uses his other senses to navigate his surroundings.
He has the most amazing docile temperment, and is a little cuddler, that is very happy to be on your lap.

Seamus is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and is heartworm negative.
