Pixie is one of 6 pups born to a mama dog found abandoned in a pasture. She was living in an old sofa. Macy, the mama dog was taken in by a good Samaritan on Thanksgiving Day 2012. Macy came in heat and was bred by their male -who is not neutered. He is a shih tzu yorkie mix and weighs 12 pounds. Macy, the chihuahua mix mom weighs 15 pounds. I will be happy to provide pictures of both dogs upon request.

Pixie is 8 wks. old and will be available for adoption and transport north next week (6/15/13) She will have had 2 puppy shots and a bordatella (kennel cough vaccine). She has been wormed every two weeks since he has been in foster care. All these pups will require a quiet, settled home. It would be best if there are no other dogs as they are easily overwhelmed by loud noises, and commotion.

They are in foster care in East Tennessee and will be transported north upon adoption. They will require a 3rd puppy shot, a rabies shot and Spay around 6 mo. of age.

Our application is found on our main website deaddogswalkingtn.com under "dog adoption".
Transport is via Alpha Dog Transport. They charge $125 for their services and is paid in cash when you claim your pup at one of their stops. An adoption fee of $250 will also apply. That is paid to our rescue through our main website (Paypal).
