My name is Ginger/Lady Bug and I am a lemon and white, beagle, cocker spaniel mix.. I am 6 and a half years old. I came here to CCR from a shelter in NC near the beach and I am looking for a new forever home. I was found as a stray by animal control and taken to a shelter where I had 3 puppies. They all got homes and then I got adopted to a nice family with kids. They had me for 2 months and then the youngest child got in my face and would not leave me alone, so I let him know that I didn't like it. The family returned me to the shelter and they asked for rescue help to find me a new forever home. While at the shelter I seemed to be ok with older children.
I am house trained, heartworm negative, spayed and current on shots. I am dog social and a good girl. I was taken to the CCR vet for an evaluation of my needs and they found out that I had a urinary track infection so I got treated for this issue and I have also now had a dental done too. My ideal home will be as an only dog, or maybe I can be with other older dogs and hang out with them as their pal. I will also need someone who can be patient with me and understand that due to my past and the fact that I have no known history, I seem to get really scared when I am taken to the vet and I also have a hard time at the groomer too. Please give me the 2nd chance that I deserve to have a loving home. I will be a great companion and I would love to have someone to love me again. I cannot be adopted into a home with children under the age of 10.
