Gemma's Story...
Hi, my name is Gemma. I am a 3 year old pitbull mix that has to unfortunately be rehomed. My previous owners didn't want to give me up since I am such a sweet lady. I lived with 2 children, ages 1 & 8 yrs old and adored them both, sleeping in the 8 year old's bed each night. My previous owner needed to move to an apartment that doesn't allow dogs, maybe the landlord just doesn't realize what a good a dog I am! I have also already shown my shelter friends how much I enjoy attention and love to give big kisses to anyone that will let me! I am super friendly to 2-legged as well as 4-legged strangers. I even tolerated cats in my previous household. Her ideal home would be a family with kids and a yard to run around in! I am spayed, fully vetted & ready to find a home I can spend the rest of my life with and get the love attention I deserve. Please stop by for a visit if I sound like the dog companion for you! My adoption fee is $225.00

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gemma, a Douglas Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Douglas, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Douglas.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Douglas already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Douglas breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Douglas paves the way for another one to be saved.
