I found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.

Elroy's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Elroy's Story...
Bond, Elroy Bond. License to love. Seriously, I'm just a happy go lucky guy who accidentally has a microchip with 007 in the number. Everybody teases me about it. I don't mind having a license to love, though. All I just want is to be petted and to play. I love playing with other dogs and even cats, if they will just play with me. I can chase or wrestle, whatever they prefer. I like toys, and am happy to share. I'm housetrained and cratetrained and I'm trying really hard to learn to sit before I jump. Its so hard though, cause my legs are short, and I want to get as close as I can. If you would sit down on the floor, then I could just curl up in your lap. I can be protective of food on the floor (though not when you give me treats!), so my foster family says I should have a family with older children, who don't drop their food.
If you need a spy to keep your secrets safe, I'm your dog!
I may have short legs, but I have a big heart!

Elroy's adoption fee is $175 and he’s up to date with routine shots, micro-chipped and altered. Some of our dogs/cats are in foster homes, please call the shelter to check on their location.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Elroy, a Columbia Basset Hound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basset Hound for sale in Columbia, or seeking a Basset Hound dog from a breeder in Columbia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Columbia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Columbia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basset Hound breeders who help with Basset Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Columbia paves the way for another one to be saved.
