MEET REGINALD OSCAR AND SAMPSON ZIPPER. Bonded pair of neutered male dachshunds, must be placed together. Reggie is an 18 pound red smooth (9.5 years old) and Sammie is a long haired black and tan dachshund (8 years old), weighing in at 12 pound. They are adorable, and well mannered. They are the casualties of a divorce which has disrupted their happy home. Please consider giving these two a new forever home where they can share their love for each other with you and your family.
Based on 30 years of experience with rescue doxies, we have pretty strict criteria. Do you work from home/stay at home/work part time? Have a securely fenced yard? We do not place same sex in a home and children need to be 10 or older (some exceptions IF the dog is a puppy or the child has been raised with a doxie). We prefer no smokers and a home with no other small animals (ferrets, hamsters, etc) Cats are on a case by case basis depending on the dog. Remember these are rescues, many were surrendered because of these issues. All our dogs are fully vetted, including all shots, wormer & flea protection, nails trimmed, the works. They'll come with a basket of goodies, food, toys and a custom made harness. The adoption fee is $350, no exceptions as this covers the cost to rescue them, vet them and take care of them while in our rescue. It also helps towards the care of other doxies that come with huge vet or dental bills or need extensive behavioral training. Can you give him a happy, carefree life again?
