Windy's Story...
Which way does the Windy blow? Whichever direction love is destined to go! I have a lot of love to give and want nothing more than a family to share it with. I would love a home with children 5+ who are respectful and caring. I get along great with the other dogs here at the shelter and wouldn’t mind a home to share with another. I am breezy and don’t get caught up negativity, I want a life of happy memories that make my tail wag! Cats are also great companions, and I would love the opportunity to share my home with a fur cousin. I am not biased and freely love those deserving of it…I just ask that you take it slow and prove to me that you do in fact deserve it. Since I have been here at the shelter I have been doing wonderfully with my crate training, and I find it very comforting to have a little section of space to call my own. I would completely appreciate continuing this in my new forever home! Something Windy this way comes! Let me feel your sails with my love and move us forward on a course for forever love. 1 year old-36lbs. My adoption fee is $200 and includes; microchip, spay, reduced cost Training Class, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & Treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Windy, a Portland Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Border Collie for sale in Portland, or seeking a Border Collie dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Border Collie breeders who help with Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
