Hi ! My name is Jackson. I am a sweet, happy, one year old black lab mix.My previous family surrendered me for financial reasons. I am in a foster home with several other dogs. I LOVE kids and will follow them everywhere they go. I have not been exposed to cats. I am an active boy that would love a nice fenced yard to play ball in and run around. I have had surgergy on my back leg a few months ago for a broken femur and am still rebuilding my muscles. Because I broke my leg while I was still growing.. my leg healed about an inch shorter than the other three. I function just fine but will always have a limp. I would do best in a home with no stairs but I can tollerate a few. I am a young boy that likes to GO all day if you will let me, but if I do too much... my leg will let me know. If you are looking for a jogging partner, Jackson is not for you... if you are looking for a perfect family pet or companion... then he is your guy! If you are interested in speaking to my foster mom about me or would like to apply to make yours furever... please let the rescue know.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jackson, a Nashville Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Nashville, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Nashville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Nashville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Nashville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Nashville paves the way for another one to be saved.
