Tara's Story...
Hi, my name is Tara and I am a beautiful, 4 year old, 101 pound akita. I am a happy boy as you can tell from my photos! I tolerate other dogs, but would be best as the ony dog in your household and I do not like cats. Kids over 10 would be best because I am such a big boy. Even tough I would do best with an experienced adopter or someone willing to work with a good dog trainer, I am not hard to handle I know "sit" and walk well on a leash, but have lived in a kennel a long while so please be patient on my housetraining. I am currently getting lessons with a professional dog trainer. I will also be very loyal to you. I am neutered, current on shots and micro chipped. I am nice to groom and will need to visit the groomer on a regular basis to keep my lovely coat in its present condition. But, of course, I'm worth it!!! my adoption donation is $300. Please call or text (661) 333-9921 or email wfkeith@aol.com for more information and to meet me in person.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tara, a Phoenix Akita dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Akita for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Akita dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Akita breeders who help with Akita rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
