This gorgeous and utterly sweet girl was about to die in a high kill shelter in South Carolina when our volunteers happened to come across her while pulling another dog. She had tested positive for heartworms so the shelter was going to euthanize her because they deemed her unadoptable because of the high cost of heartworm treatment! But, heartworm is easily treated, and we saved Destiny because of her affectionate, sweet personality. Destiny has fully recovered from her treatment, has been fully vaccinated, spayed, and has no other health issues anymore. She just needed someone to believe in her and give her that chance, and she is rewarding us all with her affectionate, loving personality!
Destiny is believed to be a pit bull terrier and boxer mix. She weighs about 55 lbs. and is full grown at approximately 4-5 years old. She is well socialized and established, LOVES people, and ignores cats completely, and is getting along VERY well with her two canine foster siblings, a male and a female lab! Destiny is that PERFECT age where she is past the puppy stage and is not destructive, is completely housebroken, but still has a long life ahead of her! If you are looking for the perfect family dog, look no further! Destiny wants nothing more than to be a family member and we are going to ensure she will never experience anything bad ever again at the hands of humans. She enjoys toys and to cuddle and be petted.
