UPDATED BIO 6/26/13 - Rex went to the dogtor yesterday to get his stitches out and for a check up. The dogtor was very impressed with how Rex was healing! He said Rex looked great and was doing better than he'd hoped. He is still somewhat lame in his rear left leg, but he does put weight on it. He has another appointment in 3 weeks. At that time, the dogtor is going to take more x-rays to make sure the pelvis is healing properly. If all goes well, Rex can start light exercise, yipee!!!
Rex has a new friend, a little 5 lb Chihuahua who is visiting for the weekend. He really likes his new friend, and wants to play with him. We think Rex will do well with another playful dog in the household. He is still getting along with the cats, so we think cats will be OK for him. He also seems to be completely house trained and will stand by the door when he wants to go out.
UPDATED BIO 6/18/13 - Rex is doing very well! He is a little trooper and is acting like nothing has happened to him at all. He is still wearing his collar for another couple of days, but then we should be able to take it off. He doesn't mind it at all, he probably thinks it's just another appendage by now. He has a new video out - it's short, but everyone can see what a little cutie - patootie he is.
INITIAL BIO 06/09/2013: My name is Rena! I am a 2.5 year old 4 lb little girlie and am being fostered in New Port Richey, FL. I was surrendered to UYR by a breeder. I still need all my shots, a dental, and to be spayed before I am ready to be your FURever girlie. In the meantime, I am sweet and learning to trust people (I don't bite... I'm just not used to being cuddled and loved). FM is working on my housetraining (what's that?). FM says she will update you as soon as she knows more about me.
