My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there! My name is Austin. I was born in 2007, and I've lived at Red Door since 2010. I was found wandering the streets of Chicago and brought to the shelter for some TLC. Because of my extremely shy nature, I am sadly overlooked by adopters because I'm frequently hiding! It takes me a bit of time to trust people, and I usually have a very strict "look but don't touch" policy. I am in desperate need of an experienced and patient home where I can come out of my shell on my own terms! I get along well with other cats, and I like cuddling with soft catnip toys, brushing on grooming arches, and being pet with back-scratchers! I am confident that if you just give me a chance, I will thrive and be a happier kitty once I ditch the shelter lifestyle!
