6/03/13: Chester is a wonderful and sweet fellow who was found as a stray in Arkansas, and brought to a local shelter. As a blind and heartworm positive dog, he didn't have much of a chance, and that is when BDRA stepped in! Chester had a two day transport to his foster home in PA, and he arrived safe and sound and ready for the next step in his life! Chester is a very loving boy who is house trained. He's also very good with other dogs, cats and adores kids. He loves to cuddle on the couch while we're watching tv, and he loves to have his belly rubbed, rolling over and over! Chester is currently being treated for heartworm and is somewhat hard of hearing, but he can hear the crinkle of a cheese wrapper or a potato chip bag! Chester has really come a long way and is ready for his very own forever home. He has so much love to give! Rescue Group Info...
We are a group of volunteers spread throughout the United States (and even a couple in Canada) who are dedicated to advocating for blind and visually impaired dogs by rescuing dogs in shelters, helping blind dog owners, and educating the public. We formed in 2009, though our members have many years of experience in rescue, and in blind dogs.
We are always looking for volunteers; let us know if you want to help out! Volunteer@BlindDogRescue.com
We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit group, and all donations are tax deductible.
Interested in adopting a BDRA Dog? Simply fill out our application.
All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative and on heartworm and flea/tick preventive.
We ask a $200 adoption fee. This does not begin to cover the vetwork we do on our dogs, which is why
we are always fundraising!
Please email email@example.com with any questions.
