My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Pepe is a 23-year-old Congo African grey parrot. She is a very sweet girl who speaks Spanish - but she is starting to pick up English. She gives kisses and likes to climb her cage and play with her toys. She is working on how to step up and is learning to trust humans again. Pepe is a very good eater with a diet of pellets, chop, birdie bread, fresh fruits and vegetables. Pepe has had one previous owner, but due to an accident that left Pepe’s wing broken and her beak chipped, her owner surrendered her to Florida Parrot Rescue. Even with the best care, the vet could not save her entire wing and she lost half of her right wing. She also has vision problems in one eye and occasional re-occurring sinus issues. She is now completely healed from her injuries, has a clean bill of health from the vet, and is ready to be adopted! Pepe so wants to learn how to be your forever friend, she just needs a chance with the right person who is willing to be patient.
