GRETA. Greta is a twenty-two month old Doxie with traditional markings of brown on a solid black coat. She is healthy, up to date on all shots and has been spayed. She was surrendered because she does not get along with young children and cats. Greta can walk on a leash nicely, but it takes a minute or two to calm her down so she isn’t tugging and trying to walk ahead. She LOVES walks. She lives for them! She can travel in the car, but again it takes a moment for her to calm down. Greta is a beauty and will make a great addition to your cat-less, young children-less family.
Based on 30 years of experience with rescue doxies, we have pretty strict criteria. Do you work from home/stay at home/work part time? Have a securely fenced yard? We do not place same sex in a home and children need to be 10 or older (some exceptions IF the dog is a puppy or the child has been raised with a doxie). We prefer no smokers and a home with no other small animals (ferrets, hamsters, etc) Cats are on a case by case basis depending on the dog. Remember these are rescues, many were surrendered because of these issues. All our dogs are fully vetted, including all shots, wormer & flea protection, nails trimmed, the works. They'll come with a basket of goodies, food, toys and a custom made harness. The adoption fee is $395, no exceptions as this covers the cost to rescue them, vet them and take care of them while in our rescue. It also helps towards the care of other doxies that come with huge vet or dental bills or need extensive behavioral training. Can you give her a happy, carefree life that she deserves?
