My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Olivia! I am a 20 lb. bundle of energy! I am a little shy with people and other dogs at first, but give me a few minutes and I warm up fast.
I am a small beagle with light brown eyes and a brown nose. I have little freckles on my nose which makes me charmingly adorable!
I am mostly a medium energy dog. However, I do have big spurts of energy once in a while. I usually pick up a toy and run from the front of the house to the back of the house as fast as I can. I run back and forth several times. I carry toys in my mouth and shake them vigorously. I do this a couple times a day, so it would be best if I had an opportunity to burn off this energy playing or going for walks. My foster Mom brought me over to a friend’s house who had a dog about my age. We chased each other and played and had a great time! Therefore, taking me to a dog park where I can run and chase other dogs would probably be a good idea once in a while.
I eat very fast and when I’m done, I like to go check out the other dog’s bowls while they’re still eating! They don’t seem to mind. However, if they try to take something of mine, I growl! Therefore, my foster Mom has to keep an eye on me at mealtime.
One of my best qualities, aside from being adorable, is that I am as quiet as a mouse. My foster Mom hasn’t heard a peep out of me the whole time I’ve lived here. My foster sisters like to bark sometimes, but I just stand there looking concerned. No barking or whining here. Therefore, I would be a great dog for someone who lives in an apartment or condo.
Another great quality is that I have no problems going into a crate when my foster Mom has to leave the house. We need to keep me in the crate when she’s gone so that I learn not to make messes in the house. We are still working on this, but I know it won’t be long before I get it.
I am a collector! Some people collect stamps and some people collect figurines, but I collect slippers and socks and whatever else I can find on the floor! I carry them to my bed or just some spot I have claimed as mine. I don’t chew them up, I just collect them! One time when my foster Mom left the house, she didn’t put me in my crate. When she came home, I had a collection of things sitting at the door waiting for her. I had dragged over one of the dog beds, I added a mop, a box that was waiting to be put in the trash, one of my foster Mom’s shoes, and several dog toys! Boy was she surprised when she walked in the door……..I was so proud.
So, won’t you please consider adopting me? I am small enough to carry, I don’t eat a lot, and I’m pretty silly, so I’ll keep you entertained everyday!
