My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sally is a sweet, calm Golden Retriever mix. She was found hiding under an auto trailer in an industrial yard. She spent 3-4 days there until a Good Samaritan contacted us about her plight. She had been previously shaved all the way down to her skin and the fur is finally growing back. Sally has been abused in the past. When we reach out to pet her she will duck, flinch and cower. Once we start petting her though, she thoroughly enjoys it! She wants to be with people and follows me everywhere. She just needs a little tlc to help her learn to trust. She is completely house-broken and has not chewed on destroyed anything whatsoever. She is good with dogs, but is not fond of hyper dogs or bossy dogs. My small children also make her nervous. She is going in a crate for short periods of time and doing quite well, but if left for more than a half hour, she will start whining and trying to get out. Her ideal home would be a calm household with a family dedicated to giving her lots of love! Sally is spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations and micro-chipped. The vet estimated her to be 2 years old (although I think more like 3-4) and she weighs 76 lbs. Her adoption fee is $200. If you would like to meet Sally, please contact Delon.Washo@asu.edu.
