Sadie: 3 years's Story...
From Foster Mom:

This is Sadie the Havanese I am fostering. Her owners who are elderly asked me to take her.I have been doing Healing Touch on her for the past 3 years. She is totally vetted. She is 3 years old. She is great with my dogs. She is even good with kids. She has a hx of seizures she is on phenobarbitol which cost $7 a month. She has come a long way here with the housetraining. I would say she is 90% there.

Arf, arf and WELCOME! Thanks for visiting my Adopt-a-pet page. I am one of several hounds that are now fostered in an Ohio or Kentucky home and waiting to be adopted.

Ohio Hound Rescue is a 501c3 non-profit that is busy raising funds so that my adoption fee can be kept at $235.

Transport is available to PA, NY, CT, or VT via www.rescueriderstransport.com for an add'l $135. (Or you can make a road trip to meet me in Ohio.)

The good news is.... I am crate trained. Housebroken, and up to date on all vet care!! (My foster mom can tell you more about how I am with kids, cats and dogs too.)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sadie: 3 years, a Buffalo Havanese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Havanese for sale in Buffalo, or seeking a Havanese dog from a breeder in Buffalo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Buffalo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Buffalo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Havanese breeders who help with Havanese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Buffalo paves the way for another one to be saved.
