April's Story...
I was saved this spring and now I ready to begin anew. I am a new mom, but I’m just a little girl myself. I am gentle, sweet, and have the most gorgeous - extremely grateful - blue eyes. You see, the month of April found me in a shelter in North Carolina. I was very, very pregnant and scheduled to be put to sleep the very day the wonderful humans at FOHA rescued me and drove me all the way to Northern Virginia. I spent the next few months living in a yoga studio in a foster home, where I gave birth to four beautiful April arrivals: Bluebell, Bumble, Blossom and Berry. As my April babies begin their new lives with loving families, I’m ready for a new beginning myself: to share my love with you in your forever home. This summer is the perfect time to bring a little April into your life.

Ready to adopt beautiful me? Contact my volunteer friends at 703-385-0224 or adopt-a-cat@foha.org. Thank you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

April, a Aldie Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Aldie, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Aldie.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Aldie already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Aldie breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Aldie paves the way for another one to be saved.
