Polly aka Possum's Story...
This is little Possum and she was found at 5 weeks of age with a broken leg all alone on the street. She has had 3 different cast changes over the weeks and now is cast free and loving life. Possum is as friendly and sweet as a kitten can possibly be since she was carried around for weeks as she was healing. She loves other cats and kittens and any person who is willing to spend time with her she wants to be with. The third photo is her first day of rescue just after we got her home from the doctors office.

Possum got her name since she would not do anything for 2 weeks, her cast was just about as large as she was and she just could not figure out how to maneuver around with it. Once she learned she was of and running

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Polly aka Possum, a Bensalem Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Bensalem, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Bensalem.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bensalem already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bensalem breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bensalem paves the way for another one to be saved.
