Here is what else her foster family had to say:
Holly is a very social dog and is friendly with everyone. She enjoys being petted and fussed over. She's been around my neighbour's wee boy (4) and was very gentle. She has never exhibited any aggression whatsoever. She is a very gentle but playful and affectionate dog. She is not a dog to just go running up to everyone however. She is a bit shy at first but warms up very quickly. We have had her around people aged 4 years to 80 years and she was very sweet with everyone.
She is also best friends with our dog and enjoys playing with her so another friendly dog in the home would not be a problem for Holly. I believe she may not have had much loving in her past life as she just loves to be touched.
Holly is a young dog and has lots of energy so a backyard to play in and a good daily walk would be the best for her. Or, if she is in a family with kids that would like to include her in games and playtime, she would love that. When it is time to settle down she is very good about knowing how to chill.
It doesn't appear that anyone really took time with Holly as she doesn't seem to know any basic commands (although she is well behaved regardless). She was also always hungry when she first came but now knows that food will always be available to her and has calmed down in that regard. We are working on teaching her basic commands and as she is an intelligent dog, I don't think it will take any time at all for her new family. She is house trained but hasn't yet learned how to let us know she needs to go out. We do praise her highly everything she does go out. She is crate trained and is fine going into the crate but we haven't found any reason to use one with Holly. She does need to be kept on a leash as she doesn't have any recall yet.
Holly is as we have mentioned, a very loving social dog who loves attention and who can relax and be content to sit after a nice cuddle. She is easy to hold and loves being carried..a little suck. She is very good with people and children and other dogs.
If you would like to give Holly the home she deserves, please submit an application for consideration.
