Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Here is the story of our girl, Maybelline. A local photographer who is also an avid runner was doing her daily 4 mile run when she noticed a dog that was running along behind her. Not needing to add any additional dogs to her own mix of canines, the runner said she tried to discourage the dog from running along with her----but to no avail. The dog followed her home and has made herself right at home with our runner, her husband, and her sibling canines. So we are hoping to help her find her new forever home. We named her Maybelline and we think that she is a Black mouth cur/Lab mix. The Black mouth cur is a wonderful breed. They are loving and devoted to the owners and families that they become part of. Maybelline is approx 12 - 18 months old and weighs 33 lbs currently. She may add a few lbs, but her body size is where it will be as an adult. She has been spayed and is currently receiving her vaccinations. She is on all monthly preventatives for heart worms, fleas/ticks, and parasites.
Maybelline's foster mom is working with her on house breaking, learning some basic commands, and getting her acclamated with what a well bred dog should do. She has lots of energy and would be a wonderful running partner for someone. She is very active and her foster mom feels that families with older children would be best. She loves kids, but is afraid that she might be too active for children under 5 years old. Maybelline loves to be in the car riding as much as she enjoys running. She is good with cats and is good with most dogs although she definitely seems to prefer males. She shows no aggressive tendencies at all and is just a very sweet, pretty girl. Good on her leash and would be a wonderful companion. Maybelline would be ready to transport by mid July.
