Domino's Story...
I came to ADOPT when Feral Fixers (an organization that spays and neuters feral cats) caught me in one of their traps. They saw that I was too sweet to be released into the wild, so they brought me to the shelter. I'm a small white and black short-haired male with a big heart. Although I'm a little shy at first, once I get to know you I'll give you head butts and roll over so you can rub my belly. I'm only a year old, and would love to grow old with a loving family to call my own. I get along with other cats and just love people. It would be great to be part of a family with another cat or two to keep me company.

Domino came to ADOPT in May of 2013 from Feral Fixers. He was born around May of 2012.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Domino, a Naperville Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Naperville, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Naperville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Naperville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Naperville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Naperville paves the way for another one to be saved.
