I am the new official Pet Orphans office cat. My duties include sitting on the computer keyboard when the receptionist tries to type, peeing on office documents, and diving into the file cabinet whenever someone looks for documents. It’s a dream job! They hired me because I am such an unusual breed – an Australian Mist Mix (cool name or what? I sound like one of the Avengers!). I make a perfect pet for children of all ages, even young ones, because we Aussie Mists are very tolerant of handling and not inclined to scratch. We also have a tendency to crawl into the nearest lap without invitation! You should know that I am FIV Positive and this is transmittable to other cats. So I have to be an only cat or adopted into a home with other FIV positive kitties. FIV will not shorten my natural life span but you do have to be careful when I get sick because my immune system is compromised – it might be a good idea to add probiotics to my food.
